How to land that interview!

Hello Readers? Miss me? Its taken me a couple of days to get this blog ready for you. I recently had two interviews in one day and I had to prepare myself both mentally and physically. Let me tell you I didn't know what to do as it had been years since I had to impress someone.
The experience was amazing and as stressful and intimidating it was initially I'm so glad I went for it! I realized you really have to put yourself out there if you want to get what you want. So for those of you who have upcoming interviews and have a harder time making a great first impression I decided to post up a couple tips on how to help. :)

First off lets talk makeup I like keeping it simple and found a small tutorial on looking professional yet elegant.

Simple Interview Make-up

1. Start with a simple contouring to hide the bags under your eyes and any other blemishes you have.

2. Next to have those pop lips you gotta make sure they last especially for two interviews. Use the same cover up and dot along your lips and blend lightly.

3. I found the easiest way to line your lips using a criss-cross method by making an X on the top lip and then proceed to line the corners, bottom lip and fill in with either the same color or different color I used orange liner with pink filler.

4. After I was done with my lips, I then used white pencil to fill in my top lid.

5. Blend in a light golden brown on your crease keep it light remember it's an interview not a night night at the Roxbury.

6. An easier way to line with black liner is by drawing at the corner of your top lid a straight line going up to make sure both eyelids are even. -.-

7. Fill in the liner by connecting with the line you made in picture 6. Line your corners with white liner to make them look bigger.

8. Finish with mascara and bronzer to highlight your beautiful features!  Ta-Da! You are ready to impress.

Dress to impress!

Since it was two interviews in one day I wanted to make my outfit pop! I went to one of my favorite orange peplum dress and decided to pair it with nude heels to make my short little legs look miles long. I didn't think I should carry anything with me exept my keys and sunglasses so this nude clutch was perfect with the nude shoes, to match with the black I wore black earrings and to top the professional look I thought this black watch was perfect to impress without being too flashy! My purple hair is pretty out there so to tame it I thought a bun would be a great way to tame my wild look! (mustache is optional!)

Ok so you know you look flawless but how to you finish your masterpiece?
After taking care of your physical appearance now you gotta win them with that award winning smile :D

Personality is eveything in these situations, the person thats gonna hire you wants to know you're friendly, professional and by meeting you they get a glimps into your work ethic. I went ahead and researched a couple of ways to ease the initial interview jitters.

Interiew tips to land a job!

Here's a quick glimpse of what Love and Strawberries has posted and I really found their tips helpful. They elaborate more on each topic so I definately suggest you check it out at: http://loveandstrawberries.com/2013/08/14/interview-tips-to-land-a-job-how-to-act-when-youre-finally-hired-part-1/

1. Coordinate your outfit
Rule of thumb is best to stay safe and overdress.

2. Research the company
One of the first questions they will ask is what do you know about company, how can you expect someone to hire you if you don't know who signs the paycheck

3. Make a list of your strenghts and weaknesses
Keep it simple, the best list is simple and don't forget to brag about yourself.

4. Find the interview location beforehand
Be there no later than 15 minutes early this will give you time to find the location, beat traffic and impress your future employer!

5. Look through the job description
Check their qualification requirements this way you can have some examples ready in case they ask?

6. Be friendly and personable
Always smile, straight posture and great eye contact will show how warm and relatable you are; don'tworry  if they are cold or serious you can win them over with kindness.

7. Follow-up
Ask for their card and send them an email thanking them for taking their time to sit with you, this will helo out stick out your jame from many candidates.

8. Sit back and relax
After youve done all you can relax and if they dont call dont stress just take notes and nail the next one. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, you cant expect people to know who you are if you dont go out and meet them!

Well these are a few tips that I myself have used and I hope they help your confidence or at least how to coordinate your outfit :) good luck and please let me know if this post has helped or if you have better ideas! Toodles!
