Nacho Libre Costume

Hi Guy's I wanted to post a picture of my Halloween costume this year!

Since I'm 6 months pregnant I thought it would be funny to dress up as Nacho Libre!

It was a very easy DIY costume which consisted of two pairs of leggings (red and light blue), red boots, nude tank top, red cape and a mustache.

It took a total of 30 minutes to measure, cut and glue the whole thing together!

Luckily I also had my tall and fit husband to dress as Esqueleto (He is a team player) to complete my tag team partner ensemble.

Hope you all Enjoy!

Ron Burgundy: The Legend Continues

I feel ashamed Blogger, I let you down as a blogger... It's been many moons since I have Exuded my Glitter! And no I don't mean like a stripper you sikkos !!

I break my silence to report that my tips accomplished my goal of finding a new job; I've been working hard but very proud of my accomplishments in the past months.

Let's get to business!

When thinking of what to post I immediately thought of my last fun mani!

If you know me you are very aware (not by choice) that I'm a huge Anchorman fan that when Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues I had to celebrate my own way.

Date night came and I knew The Hubby wouldn't let me walk out with a mustache a lá Ron Burgundy so I wore my mustache elsewhere!

Ta-Da!

I think they are my cutest nails to date!

We have a silhouette of our childhood hero Ron Burgundy, I don't know if you're aware but he's kind of a big deal!

Finished my look with matching mustache earrings and my Main Man aka the ball in chain, I was ready to hit the town!

In a nutshell date night was wonderful and more than I expected, even though I was in a dark room where there was no way anyone could notice their cuteness I didn't care! Just knowing I could make Ron Burgundy talk with my nail puppet I was happy as could be! 😎

Well I just wanted to share with you what I've been up to. I really hope you enjoyed mini Burgundy, are you an Anchorman fan too? Thank you so much for reading, you are the best!

Have an awesome week!

How to land that interview!

Hello Readers? Miss me? Its taken me a couple of days to get this blog ready for you. I recently had two interviews in one day and I had to prepare myself both mentally and physically. Let me tell you I didn't know what to do as it had been years since I had to impress someone.
The experience was amazing and as stressful and intimidating it was initially I'm so glad I went for it! I realized you really have to put yourself out there if you want to get what you want. So for those of you who have upcoming interviews and have a harder time making a great first impression I decided to post up a couple tips on how to help. :)

First off lets talk makeup I like keeping it simple and found a small tutorial on looking professional yet elegant.

Simple Interview Make-up

1. Start with a simple contouring to hide the bags under your eyes and any other blemishes you have.

2. Next to have those pop lips you gotta make sure they last especially for two interviews. Use the same cover up and dot along your lips and blend lightly.

3. I found the easiest way to line your lips using a criss-cross method by making an X on the top lip and then proceed to line the corners, bottom lip and fill in with either the same color or different color I used orange liner with pink filler.

4. After I was done with my lips, I then used white pencil to fill in my top lid.

5. Blend in a light golden brown on your crease keep it light remember it's an interview not a night night at the Roxbury.

6. An easier way to line with black liner is by drawing at the corner of your top lid a straight line going up to make sure both eyelids are even. -.-

7. Fill in the liner by connecting with the line you made in picture 6. Line your corners with white liner to make them look bigger.

8. Finish with mascara and bronzer to highlight your beautiful features!  Ta-Da! You are ready to impress.

Dress to impress!

Since it was two interviews in one day I wanted to make my outfit pop! I went to one of my favorite orange peplum dress and decided to pair it with nude heels to make my short little legs look miles long. I didn't think I should carry anything with me exept my keys and sunglasses so this nude clutch was perfect with the nude shoes, to match with the black I wore black earrings and to top the professional look I thought this black watch was perfect to impress without being too flashy! My purple hair is pretty out there so to tame it I thought a bun would be a great way to tame my wild look! (mustache is optional!)

Ok so you know you look flawless but how to you finish your masterpiece?
After taking care of your physical appearance now you gotta win them with that award winning smile :D

Personality is eveything in these situations, the person thats gonna hire you wants to know you're friendly, professional and by meeting you they get a glimps into your work ethic. I went ahead and researched a couple of ways to ease the initial interview jitters.

Interiew tips to land a job!

Here's a quick glimpse of what Love and Strawberries has posted and I really found their tips helpful. They elaborate more on each topic so I definately suggest you check it out at: http://loveandstrawberries.com/2013/08/14/interview-tips-to-land-a-job-how-to-act-when-youre-finally-hired-part-1/

1. Coordinate your outfit
Rule of thumb is best to stay safe and overdress.

2. Research the company
One of the first questions they will ask is what do you know about company, how can you expect someone to hire you if you don't know who signs the paycheck

3. Make a list of your strenghts and weaknesses
Keep it simple, the best list is simple and don't forget to brag about yourself.

4. Find the interview location beforehand
Be there no later than 15 minutes early this will give you time to find the location, beat traffic and impress your future employer!

5. Look through the job description
Check their qualification requirements this way you can have some examples ready in case they ask?

6. Be friendly and personable
Always smile, straight posture and great eye contact will show how warm and relatable you are; don'tworry  if they are cold or serious you can win them over with kindness.

7. Follow-up
Ask for their card and send them an email thanking them for taking their time to sit with you, this will helo out stick out your jame from many candidates.

8. Sit back and relax
After youve done all you can relax and if they dont call dont stress just take notes and nail the next one. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, you cant expect people to know who you are if you dont go out and meet them!

Well these are a few tips that I myself have used and I hope they help your confidence or at least how to coordinate your outfit :) good luck and please let me know if this post has helped or if you have better ideas! Toodles!

Nails Nails NAILS!

Hola Amigas!

Its almost hump day and I thought what's the best way to relax till the weekend gets here...? Mani-Pedi's of course!! I love pampering myself and I'll assume you do too for the sake of the post :)

Once the idea of doing my nails gets into my head there is no going back! I usually Google cute nail ideas, nail art, blah blah blah and get bombarded with so many options I can't decide. I have tried a few and decided to share some and share the ones I'm obsessing over right now. In case you guys haven't  noticed I love being a bum and sitting on my bum!

So where should we start....

My next nail art adventure is going to be these adorable nails! The beauty department is a great website to be inspired for nails or any other craft :) enjoy!

Peter Pan Collar

If you don't have the patience to make the detail (its worth it!) I also found a great tutorial on a quick easy Mani.
You can choose any color of your choice, the lilac is such a fun color don't you think? :)
After that dries the website suggest Glitter stickers to use over the base coat, you can also use the glitter top coat and depending on how shiny you prefer use it lightly or as generous as you please.

Glitter Nail Accent

Before I get to my personal Nail Art, none of this is possible without healthy nails!
Remember ladies pretty nails are strong nails and Sara Sequence has a great post on how to take care of them and I am nice enough to share it with you. In the end all the nail polish won't protect your nails without the proper nutrition; drinking plenty of H2O, filing your nails often and stop biting them for goodness sake! ;P
Besides, is it me only but don't you feel extra confident when your nails are done and not chipped or broken? Exude that confidence every way you want!

Tips to Prevent Nail Breakage & Promote Healthy Nails

Last but not least I have also dabbled with a few designs myself and continue to be inspired by new ones each day!

These are a few of my summer favorites that hopefully inspire you to glam up your phalanges (aka your fingers! Well technically your finger bone!)

Summer Nails
(It looks like I lost at rock, paper scissors! Lol)

Let me know what's your go-to style of nail art, I would love to hear your favorites and be inspired myself for future blogs! I hope you enjoy your hump day the weekend is closer than you think; and as always thank you for reading!

Happy Labor Day! Tips on how to make the most of your day off!

On behalf of all my fellow workers congrats on making it more than half of the year without tearing your hair out or your bosses! Great job, you deserve the day off! ( just don't show up tomorrow and let the craziness out for all the office to see!) for today since its pretty much lazy day, I thought the best thing to post is better ways to enjoy your lazy day!

Its five o' clock somewhere and why not enjoy your leisure time off the way you want! The best way I can think of is by hanging with my BFF's and drinking some bubbly cocktails! Whether you can enjoy with friends or not this recipe is sure to make you forget that tomorrow is a work day!

I had a small get together and these were hitting the spot...

Strawberry Moscato Lemonade!

What you need:
Friends to drink with or an unsuspecting liver!
Moscato
Lemon Juice
Sugar
Strawberries
The fancy way to serve is mix some strawberries the lemon juice sugar and ice until well blended and serve over Moscato with ice. Its that easy! But if you're like me and rather get to the drinking faster it also works just fine by mixing all of the ingredients in a container. Voila a drink you'll have to keep reminding yourself is alcoholic cause it'll remind you of those hot summer days!

Get ready for tomorrow!
Milk Maid Braids

I know I know the last thing you wanna think of is work but tomorrow is Tuesday and guess what?! Work will still be there so why not show off a cute new hair style!
These Milk Maid Braids are just wonderful! There are so many styles to choose from but the one above is my personal favorite...
Part hair in middle and gather hair from top to make a bump (try to keep it out of Snooki heights)
Next, after you have your bump set; separate hair on each side and on one side make two braids, tie with elastic, then move on to the next side and twist hair up. All that is left is pinning hair on opposite side with bobby pins, spray with hair spray and add any little charms you might have laying around. This works better with longer hair but if you have mid length hair just remember to braid up; it'll give you a little extra length to work with!

And since I'm sure today is your only Monday off for the whole year why don't you take advantage of the warm sun and go out for a walk, job, run, bicycle ride, swim anything where you are active. We as a nation are already falling victims to obesity, diabetes and many other food related diseases. I know in some cases food isn't the only culprit but what are you doing to help your body defend itself against these major problems and also smaller ones like the cold, sore muscles... CHILDREN! Even though we don't realize it, what we intake will affect us now and later on in life.

I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life but trust me just take these as suggestions that your body will love!

Treat Yo'self! By being active!

After that walk or exercise always remember to replenish all the nutrients you used to burn those calories! My best and favorite post work out snack is fruit smoothies!
Here's a great example that I found at www.mamaslatinas.com
Just pick a base of greens: spinach, kale, lettuce (the darker green the better)
Then add your favorite fruits my personal favorites are mango, berries, and bananas!
If that's still not enough add Greek yogurt if you like it creamier along with ice and blend!
Enjoy!
I hope you all are having a great Labor Day so far and remember the day is not over yet make it the best day off you've had until next year! Thank you for reading! :)

*UPDATE*

I wasn't able to find the original recipe I used for the cupcakes above; but I did find a website that has the exact same recipe! It's on a cute website called The NY Melrose Family.
